Keep words clear of TikTok’s buttons
TikTok draws the like, comment and share buttons down the right edge and the caption and sound name across the bottom. Turn on Safe areas and choose TikTok to see those zones over your preview. The text box for 9:16 already stays inside them, with a larger margin at the bottom.
YouTube Shorts
YouTube Shorts use the same 9:16 shape with a similar right-hand button column. Pick YouTube Shorts in Safe areas to check. Shorts can be up to three minutes, so Fit video to music works for a longer reading, up to the 60-second limit here.
If you use music that YouTube might claim, YouTube’s help centre says Shorts over one minute with an active copyright claim are blocked, so keep claimed music to short clips or use your own.
Aesthetic quote videos
The soft “aesthetic” style that does well on TikTok lives in the Aesthetic, Night sky and Film grain categories: pastel gradients, slow blur-in text, stars, grain and a gentle drift. Add a calm track and set the length to 10 seconds.
